10 Wedding Budget Busters

Tue Sep 11 13:31:49 EDT 2007
Better Homes & Gardens advises that when you're planning a wedding on
a budget to watch out for accessories. "From the headpiece to the
earrings and a strand of pearls, you want your jewels to dazzle on
your big day. But these aren't your average earrings and tiaras. Many
are handmade and real which equals big bucks."
Their suggestions to save:

Borrow! Accessories are the perfect place to fit in your "something
borrowed." Wear your grandma's pearls or your mom's diamond earrings.
This will save you a few bucks and add a sentimental touch to your
wedding assemble.

My advice: Splurge. A strand of pearls and gorgeous pearl earrings,
when they're freshwater cultured pearls, will last a lifetime and
won't break the bank. You can't wear your wedding shoes, wedding gown,
tiara, or veil again, but you can wear your pearl bridal jewelry for
the rest of your life.
