Fun Stuff and Great Shoe Find

Thu May 17 09:46:04 EDT 2007
First, I'm not easily impressed with e-commerce (seeing as I work for http://www.moonriverpearls.com

, a store with the best customer service in the business). But
Zappos.com, the online shoe giant, totally wowed me.
Why? They had an overwhelming assortment of shoes, but it was so
simple to narrow down the selection based on my criteria. Within
minutes, I had two styles I was looking for and one that I thought was
so cute Ijust had to have. Shipping is free (both ways!), returns are
simple, and, best of all, I placed my order yesterday at 4:15, well
after the cutoff for shipping, and I'm still GETTING MY SHOES FROM
CALIFORNIA TODAY!

What a stark contrast to the stuff I order on, say, Amazon.com, or
Gap.com that can take weeks. Not to mention that many items I order on
Amazon.com or Target.com cost almost as much to ship as the price of
the item.

Try Zappos.com; you can't go wrong.

This gave me a chuckle. It's from my friend Christine in San Francisco:

So, I just mentioned over the cube wall that Jerry Falwell died and
one of my gay coworkers yelled, "What? Oh NO!"

And we all kind of stared at him b/c, really, why would a gay guy care
if Jerry Falwell died. Jerry Falwell wouldn't care if a gay guy died.

So, then, about 5 minutes later, my gay coworker came back to my desk
and whispered รข€¦ "I thought you said Geri Halliwell died."

Yes, the possible demise of a Spice Girl makes much more sense.
