Well, all right! Some good news for Friday: Happy Hour is good for you.
As long as you drink wine. And stop at one glass.
Turns out wine offers more healthy advantages than previously thought.
An article in Health magazine, sent to me by Style Cafe reader Barb,
says just that.
Drink up and you'll:
Remember More (wine helps prevent clots and reduce blood vessel
inflammation; both clots and inflammation are linked to cognitive
decline and heart disease).
Stay Slim (Studies show that wine drinkers have lower BMIs than those
who indulge occasionally.)
Boost Immunity (Alcohol acts as a kind of liquid antibiotic.)
Protect your Ovaries (uh, if you're a woman, obviously, it reduces
your risk of ovarian cancer)
Boost your Bones (Moderate drinkers have higher bone mass than
teetotalers.)
Stabalize your Blood Sugar (Premenopausal women who drink one or two
glasses of wine per day get a measure of protection against diabetes.)
