It's Girl Scout Week: Time to Wear Pearls!

Who knew? As of March 12, the Girl Scouts will be 94 years old-- and
they're still going strong! In honor of this remarkable feat, Scouts
of all ages are asked to wear pearls in memory of Juliette Gordon Low,
the group's founder, during the week of March 12-18.

Not only do pearls make any woman look elegant, they are also a
special symbol of Ms. Low, who sold her necklace of rare, matched
pearls to fund the Girl Scouts' early days.

If you spot a girl or woman wearing pearls this coming week, ask her
if she is or was a Scout. Chances are the program had a positive
impact on her life and the pearls are her way of showing it.
