Don't you hate those holiday countdowns?

Fri Oct 06 20:30:51 EDT 2006
Me, too, but there are only 39 more shopping days till Christmas.

Still stumped on what to get the loved ones in your life? (Shame on
you: read my earlier post.)

A new poll from Sears revealed that Americans overwhelmingly hope for
a no-stress holiday season (32 percent) or weight loss (13 percent).
(Hey, replace your Coke with salmon soda and you might shave a few
calories from your daily total.)

Here's what the survey also revealed:

Women are likely to long for big vacations, new wardrobes and jewelry.

Married women desire new kitchen appliances, cabinets and countertops.
(www.sears.com, www.homedepot.com)

Men want big screen TVs and new cars. (www.sears.com,

www.mercedes.com, www.bmw.com, www.ford.com)

18-24 year olds want wedding proposals. (You're on your own.)

Other items of interest: a fully stocked garage workshop and an ipod (www.sears.com
