Britney...Oops She Did it Again

Fri Oct 06 19:56:09 EDT 2006

Britney Spears and Matt Lauer

Bad Britney! Conducting an interview to set the record straight: "I'm
very, very blessed. But my safety, my privacy, and my respect are
three things that I feel like are trying to be taken away from me
right now. As a mother I have to speak up and say something. I have to
speak up."

First of all, you didn't use this chance to set the record straight,
defend your actions, or explain why you do what you do. Secondly,
where is the crack team of PR people, stylists, hair and makeup gurus
that helped make you famous? C'mon... you're a seasoned professional,
you must know by now that image is everything. This lack of common
sense is why we don't respect you. As for your privacy, yeah it's a
bitch, but you did everything you could to become famous. Now you have
to deal with it.

And why did you wear a barely there cutoff jean skirt and a too tight,
too small hokey top that revealed way too much of your huge, pregnancy-
expanded breasts? (The TV crew reportedly showed up, took a look at
you, and thought they had the wrong day!)

Worst of all, you had a bad dye job, chipped nail polish, false
eyelashes that came off, a red nose, and you were CHEWING GUM.
Honestly, I don't know who is more clueless...you or Michael Jackson
wearing PJs in public and being pushed in a wheelchair. That's just
weird. We were all scratching our heads at home: Did you not pick up
anything from your PR people/ stylists or are you deliberately trying
to ruin your career?

Yes, Britney, you are entertaining, you seem like a caring mom and a
nice girl...you were in in great shape, had some good moves, and made
tons of money. What happened? What a train wreck. Pull it together,
Britney. Stop f#*king up in the public eye. Then perhaps the
photographers will leave you alone. And yes, we know you don't care
what we think, but it's weird to wear curlers in your hair when you're
out in public. Even if you're not famous. Infuse a bit of class into
your act and perhaps we'll all stop picking on you.

Since this is a style blog, all I gotta say is, where is that style
that we all came to know and, well, not love, but appreciate? This new
trashy image you're cultivating just ain't cuttin' it. Take a bit of
your cash, and send it the way of an image consultant who can help you
out. You'll thank me later.
