Last Minute Valentine's Ideas

To take the pressure off (because I'm a good wife), I told my husband I don't want anything for Valentine's Day. Of course, I'd love some pearls from http://www.moonriverpearls.com/ (they will still get here by tomorrow, honey, and shipping is free!) or perhaps a diamond and platinum heart pendant from Tiffany & CO (pictured) although I know for a fact he won't drop $4,000 on jewlery, since he just forked over a bundle last year for my engagement ring. So I was tickled to see these last-minute, affordable and very unique Valentine's Day ideas from the staff at Tango magazine. If I'm not going to get diamond or pearl jewelry, I can still do something relaxing and romantic (and unique) to mark the day.

"Travel abroad night: choose a city or country that you've always wanted to see, then buy food (prepare or order in), wine, and music that represents that area. Rent a movie set in that place and settle in to watch with dessert.”

“Relax and unwind together. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this amazing Korean spa that’s open 24 hours: We plan to go for a really late-night visit—recline in the sauna, hop in the steam room, take a dip in the sake-infused wading pool, then get massages side-by-side.”

“I’d take him to the late night set at a hole-in-the-wall jazz lounge where there aren’t too many people—words can’t express how much he means to me, but the perfect riff might come close.”

Chocolates are yummy...chocolate pearls are better

Thinking about a traditional heart-shaped box of chocolates for your leading lady this Valentine's Day? Bet she'd like chocolate jewelry...

Rare South Sea chocolate pearls, harvested in the waters between the north coast of Australia and the south coast of China, are the latest rage in pearl jewelry. With their unusual copper, bronze or rust color and strong iridescent overtones, they command some of the highest prices of all pearl varieties.

How much? For $38,500, you can charm your darling with a diamond and chocolate South Sea pearl necklace with matching drop earrings. If you are looking for something a little less pricey, diamond and chocolate pearl earrings will cost you $6,500. Contact http://www.ahee.com/.
