Jewelry for Men?

I've posted about men's jewelry before. I'm not for it, but since Modern Jeweler Published "Myths About Gent's Jewelry" (a not-so-thinly-veiled advert for Diaoro's) I thought I should respond.

Here are their Myths:

Men only prefer yellow gold. Today's trend toward platinum and white gold in bridal lines is not just because women like lighter colored metals. Men do, too.
Men's jewelry is too expensive. Good gent's lines, such as Diaoro's, feature an array of styles, metals, precious stones and prices.
Wearing jewelry will give off the "wrong" idea. Identifying someone's sexuality by what they wear is as fallible as guessing someone's worth by what they drive. Yes, millionaires drive used cars and straight men wear jewelry.

Women will be reluctant to purchase jewelry for their man. Many women we've polled actually said the exact opposite. The trick is the to have something on hand that is attractive and desirable, and that, for the most part, does not include skulls, cross bones or fraternity symbols.

Conservative men won't look at gent's jewelry. Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at what celebrities such as George Clooney are wearing. The size and type of piece may vary but the desire to wear them does not.

Men can't wear big diamond pieces. Uh, don't tell P. Diddy, Johnny Depp or anyone playing in the NBA that. Enough said.

Wedding and/or class rings are it. While class rings are de rigueur for a specific demographic, many celebrities, sports figures and entertainers wear exquisite rings all of the time.

Men won't wear necklaces or bracelets. While the iconic gold chains of the '70s don't need to come back, it is an era that did prove that men do indeed like to wear jewelry.

Men only like a nice watch. While a fine timepiece is an essential component of any well-groomed man's wardrobe, it does not have exclusivity.
I still say a man's man doesn't wear any jewelry besides a wedding band, a watch, and cufflinks, when required. What say you?
