Fantastic Finds from the JA Show NYC

Thu Aug 02 12:55:03 EDT 2007
I promised I'd report on new jewelry trends from this year's JA
jewelry show in New York. I wondered whether I should also regale you,
gentle readers, with stories of the crazies that frequent the city,
but that can wait till Friday...
Aside from the upcoming pearl styles we're excited to offer you at www.MoonRiverPearls.com

--look for them in the coming weeks--we spotted two designers worth
noting. They're a little pricey for us, and are more gemstone-orinted
than pearls, but they have beautiful jewelry nonetheless.

The first, Anzie, run by a mother-daughter Quebec/New York design
team, caught our eye with their beautifully crafted bracelets created
to raise awarness for certain types of cancers (and AIDS). While the
bracelets are beautiful, the rest of their line is too.

The second, Julieri, is a Santa Monica company run by designer Julia
Teachey, who was honored last year as a "rising star" designer at the
prestigious JCK show for jewelry and accessories. Her creations are
gorgeous--no wonder they've appeared on celebrities, in glossies, and
on soap stars worldwide.

Check out some of my favorite styles from both designers:

Vertjewelry.com

Turquoise and pearls, $500, Anzie, www.vertjewelry.com

Chunky pearl bracelet, $650, Anzie, www.vertjewelry.com
