The Perfect Sunscreen?

Thu May 31 09:40:36 EDT 2007
I'm not a huge fan of scare tactics, especially when I'm being forced
to confront something I'm scared of, like skin cancer. Open any summer
beauty/fashion mag, though, and you'll find at least one article about
someone who has died or been disfigured from the disease.
I know it's real: Both my mom and my husband battled melanoma, the
deadliest kind of skin cancer. And as a fair-skinned blonde with a
penchant for tanning when I was younger, I know I'm at risk. So stop
scaring me with grotesque pictures of wacky moles and train track
scars. I get it already: like sex, sun without protection is bad.

Here's the good news: I've found a great, non-greasy sunscreen.
Perfect? No. But darn near close. While most testers raved about it, a
few found it too expensive (it retails at drugstores for around ten
bucks, but I've found that most other sunscreens cost about the same).
Reviewers with oily skin said the new formula caused breakouts.

Here's what the company says:

New! Ultra Light - Clean Feel - Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB

with Helioplex Ă¢„¢ Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB

* Non-greasy, leaves skin soft and smooth

* Waterproof, sweatproof, resists rub-off

* Light fresh scent

* Oil free

* PABA free

* #1 Dermatologist recommended suncare

Neutrogena Ultra SheerĂ‚® Sunblock is a breakthrough in sun protection.
It protects with advanced broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection - and
combines it with Dry Touch technology to provide an ultra-light, non-
shiny finish. This lightweight sunblock applies easily and has a light
fresh scent. Gentle enough for even sensitive skin.

Try it and let me know what you think.
