Want Laser Hair Removal? Read This First...

Want to look smooth and silky like her? Skip the 10/10 Laser Gel Plus.

I'm all for laser hair removal, having had the multi-step process
myself over the course of a year. An article in the news gave me
pause, however, and bears repeating.

Like liposuction and Botox, cosmetic procedures, even laser hair
removal, aren't without risks. Before my treatments, I dutifully
applied my numbing cream pre-appointment and was was warned of the
usual risks by the nurse: sun sensitivity, scarring, etc. But death?
No way.

Shockingly, that's just what happened to a 22-year-old woman recently
when her North Carolina spa gave her 10/10 Laser Gel Plus, a powerful
anesthetic containing 10 percent lidocaine and 10 percent tetracaine.
After applying the cream, used to numb the treatment area, she
suffered seizures and fell into a fatal coma.

Since her story came out, other patients have reported fainting spells
and dizziness after using the cream, which is supposed to be dispensed
via prescription only.

Yikes.

Considering laser hair removal? By all means, go for it. But skip the
powerful creams, and, as with everything you put on or in your body,
find out about it before you apply or ingest.
