Beauty, style and fashion are fun, but some of us out there just don't
get it right most of the time. Maybe we're all guilty of wearing
sweatpants for a quick dash into the grocery store, but these, my top
style pet peeves, are unforgivable.
Ungroomed nails. Ragged, jagged, yellowed nails, bleeding cuticles,
dry, scaly patches. Nuff said. Get thee to a manicurist. Goes double
for your feet. Chipped polish? Rough soles? Eek.
Being blonde when you definintely aren't. Come on, blonde highlights
in dark hair make you look like some alien, stripey skunk. Not to
mention, streaks age you by about ten years. If you have a gorgeous,
dark haircolor, go with it. Darken, don't lighten. Frosted stuff is so
over.
Muffin tops. You ain't Jessica Alba. Loosen those jeans up a bit,
girlfriend. Breathe...
Man jewelry. Men's choices: Watch. Wedding ring. That's IT.
Crocks. Foam shoes? Sure, they're cool, Bozo. Please donate them to
Ringling Bros. when you're done.
Lip liner that's waaay darker than your lipstick. Liner should match.
It should blend. Lips do not have a natural dark outline. Okay, Tammy
Faye?
