I can't make lemonade. I don't have any sugar.

I've had a day. Picked up my new car today. Drove it home. Halfway
there, the engine malfunction light came on. Stayed on. Back to
dealer, hooked it up to computer. Everything appears to be in order.
Drive home. Halfway there, engine malfunction light comes on.

This is a new car. Did I mention it's new? Like, 45 miles on the
odometer new? It will spend Thursday in the shop "for hours". Probably
will need the entire tranmission replaced or need to be shipped back
to Germany. They have no loaners. I am mad. There goes my day today,
there goes Thursday.

So here's today's thought, which has little to do with style, or a lot
to do with style, if you're talking about being a class act, which I
tried very hard to be:

From Ralph Waldo Emerson:

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in; forget them as soon as you
can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too
high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. Amen.

(I added the amen.)
